Timothy Generation

Our Burden
There are several challenges facing youths of today. Our burden for the Timothy Generation is to get the Youths of the street away from criminal activities and antisocial behaviour which has been on the increase in recent years.

While many young people feel under attack from the authorities, the older generation and community feel uneasy about the behaviour of younger people. As young men & women begins to grow; concerns begins to increase. Sometimes young people are overwhelmed by the trouble of life leading to depression and eventually suicide. There have been several cases of rape and cold blood murder in our society. The time is ripe for initiatives to reduce the risks of crime, drug abuse and other anti-social behaviour among young people.

Our Mission
Our aim is to cause a change: a change for the better. In helping young people and combating crime, government has put in place several policies, legislations and strategies, however, most of them have either failed or made things worse. Criminologists at King's College London said "a decade-long government drive to cut youth offending has had 'no measurable impact' ".

We have come to realize that the only principle that can work is the same principle that built this university and nation- Biblical principle. History has shown that Christian men and Women, on Christian principle, founded this nation and same is Aberdeen University. Aberdeen University has been known for such change. In the 14th century, William Elphinstone, Bishop of Aberdeen and chancellor of Scotland founded this great university based on sound Christian principle. The university was established to train doctors, teachers and clergy for the communities of northern Scotland, and lawyers and administrators to serve the Scottish Crown. We intend to restore this great legacy. We’ve decided to follow the league of a young man in the bible called Timothy. The bible speaks of a young man called Timothy who served among the Apostles. Timothy made up his mind as we are doing today to walk according to the instructions of God, and that is why we are called the Timothy’s Generation.
